Summary
This is the sequel to the acclaimed 7th Serpent: Crossfire. When the former leader of the project was hired and found himself unable to continue his modding work, I volunteered to take over the project and complete the second chapter. The initial scenario was written for 7 chapters, but considering nobody will carry on the saga, I tried to wrap it all up in this one. This is one of my most polished works so far.
Challenges
I started off trying to emulate the gameplay of the first episode (see trailer under Links) and it just wouldn't work within these indoors environments. Eventually, I dropped my hopes to make it as explosive and intense as the previous mod, and settled for a more paced gameplay.
I also worked on the storytelling aspect to get the player going, and added the player's sidekick as a way to reveal some of the story and guide the player through the maze of locked doors and corridors the levels turned out to be. Managing voice-actors, getting the dialogues corrected, and overall making it all glue together into a whole was an interesting challenge.
Exact role
I scripted the two levels, created a short introduction, wrote the first take of dialogues and story, managed the team (voice-actors, writer) and the press.
